Artist of Inspiration
My artists of Inspiration are Sabato Visconti because he takes his photographs of people, animals, and landscapes to create an entirely new image. He also glitches photographs to the point where it can be difficult to decipher what the image originally; however, you can still tell what the image is. Although the images can hard to decipher it makes the observers look more into the art with more attention to detail. The colors that come out of the art pull the entire piece together and they all coordinate and work well together. Overall his pieces look crazy overall, but everything ties together to create a beautiful new work of art and is what I aspire to have my work be even as close to as amazing as.
Additionally, Charles Fazzino inspires me for my art. He illustrates 2-D images and gives them the 3-D appearance which is exactly what I try to do with the pieces in my concentration. The only difference is that to see that my art is 3-D you need to wear 3-D glasses. Like Charles Fazzino's work at first you cannot tell that the art work is 3-D but once you look at it from the right angle you can see the 3-D pop art, just as it works with my work, you cannot see the 3-D appearance until you "see it from the right angle" aka see with the 3-D glasses.
Overall, both Sabato Visconti and Charles Fazzino inspire me to make my artwork different than what the average person would typically see. They inspired me to create artwork that is not exactly what it seems to be at first, that sometimes things need to be looked at twice before you assume you know what it is or means. People often call this judging a book by it cover. The saying might be about "books" and often times referred to as not to judge people by their appearance. This saying can also be used to talk about art. When in an art museum, you cannot just walk past the art work and form an opinion about it, you have to take a few steps forward and look at the piece closer to get a better observation and be able to look at it with detail so you can tell what the artist is trying to show you.
In conclusion, I want to make my art different than anything anyone has seen before and to make it so that people have to take more than just a glance at it. I want my art to be different like Sabato Visconti art and different based on the “angle” like Charles Fazzino where you have to put on the 3-D glasses in order to see my artwork from a different perspective.
